What we do
Where we operate
Our services are available to small to medium enterprises from 10 local east London Boroughs shown below. We have a dedicated supplier development officer in each of these areas who is on hand to support your business needs and help your business become more attractive to our buyers.

Our services
We work with micro and small to medium enterprises in the broader east London area – north and south of the river - and buyers across all industry sectors to source and match local suppliers to the purchasing needs of buyers as part of regeneration efforts in the Thames Gateway.
This could be by helping local businesses to register at www.competefor.com, enabling them to access 2012-related contract opportunities, providing face-to-face business support and advice for wider contract opportunities or signposting other support services such as Business Link London and Supply London.
As well as sourcing and matching, East London Business Place offers free advice and guidance on procurement practice as well as a free programme of events designed to improve competitiveness.
A free one-stop shop for buyers across 10 Thames Gateway boroughs to procure from local suppliers which alerts and matches companies to tendering opportunities
A funded ‘Supplier Development Officer’ in each of the 10 boroughs across the Thames Gateway which means there is a dedicated team offering one to one advice to buyers and suppliers
Access to a quality database of local suppliers of goods and services for competitive contracts
Measurable results through activity is tracked, monitored and evaluated allowing businesses to see exactly how much has been spent
A proactive calendar of free events covering relevant business areas and anticipating business needs as well as additional promotional assistance for companies
Up to 75,000 contract opportunities will be available through the2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games supply chain. ELBP can help businesses to access these opportunities through CompeteFor as well as connecting you to wider non-Olympic business opportunities across the Thames Gateway. We provide face-to-face advice and guidance to ensure suppliers are in the best position to bid for local contract opportunities.
