Gay has a strong background in regeneration through business and community development in Docklands and East London having been an active member of the Docklands business community for over a decade. As Canary Wharf Group plc’s Social & Economic Development Manager, Gay has worked to maximise business opportunities for local companies, helping them to compete for business with local buyers. Since 1997 she has helped in the placement of over £532 million of business locally.

Gay also works with the local community on a wide range of regeneration and community activities and oversees CWG’s local employment and education initiatives. She project managed the setting up of the Canary Wharf Recruitment & Training Centre from conception to completion and represents CWG as Director of the “East London Business Place”.

She was awarded The Wharf/DBC Business Person of the Year in 2003.
