Dawn Chappell
Assistant Manager, Operations
Coming from a background in Banking and Finance with more than 25 years experience, Dawn successfully undertook a variety of operational and relationship roles within the financial services and outsourcing industries. Following a move which saw her join the UK’s largest clearing and payments BPO joint venture, Dawn took on a key Client Relationship Management role, which she says is one of the most challenging and stressful (but rewarding) roles she has ever undertaken.
After the successful wholesale migration of her client’s clearing operation from London to Milton Keynes, Dawn took what she describes as a well deserved break, and went on to support her brother in the pub business and become a partner.
Dawn says “being a publican is both exciting and challenging but with 3 pubs we must be doing something right!”. As a family business it allowed Dawn the freedom to fulfil other career opportunities and has given her first hand experience of some of the many challenges which SMEs face in today’s economic climate. Having successfully owned and managed several SME businesses has given her the necessary experience for her role at ELBP where she provides dynamic cross-client and back-office support for tendering opportunities working closely with the Business Development Managers whilst supporting the Events and Marketing team.
Dawn is extremely motivated and passionate about her role at ELBP and actively welcomes the opportunity to source and match public and private sector buyers with ELBP suppliers.
Dawn relishes the challenge of working closely with SMEs all across the Thames Gateway, whilst recognising that the key to making contract opportunities more widely available to ELBP clients is to robustly prospect and engage with a rapidly increasing number of key local Buyers.
