Opportunities for Local Suppliers-Victoria Park
16 November 2010
The council aims to boost the local economy through partnership working with East London Business Place and two successful contractors who won the tender to reform Victoria Park. The contractors, Rooff and Osborne have small lots of work available and local suppliers based within E1, E2, E3 and E14 are encouraged to take a closer look at the opportunities.
The project is split into two lots, one of which is Landscape Improvement and Renovations and another for Building Works, the total contract value of 8.5 million pounds, match funded by LBTH and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The works are due to start in December 2010 and estimated completion by February 2012.
There are a total of 34 sub – contracting opportunities in the landscaping lot as follows: Boreholes, brickwork, carpentry, fencing, grass reinforced paving, masonry cleaning, paddling pool, painting, plasterer, railing & fencing works, resin bonded surfaces, restoration, roofing, safety surfacing, skatepark, steel bridge, surface dressing, timber bridge, water features, formwork & steel fixing, gabion walling, ground works, landscaping, paning, pumping station equipment, saw cutting, diamond drilling, scaffolding, sealants, structured steelwork, surfacing, waterway maintenance, play equipment, concrete imprint; with the building works packages to be confirmed.
